The state prosecution during the debate requested 19 years of imprisonment for the former co-owner of the ABC of Taste and Coffee House Kirill Yakubovsky. He is accused of embezzling funds from investors of VMHY holding, M2M Privet Bank and Asia-Pacific Bank (ATB). For another 22 years, the prosecutor asked the former owner of ATB and Senator Pavel Maslovsky, RIA Novosti reported.
In addition to Yakubovsky and Maslovsky, charges were brought against Tatiana Shablyko, the manager of the Moscow branch of ATB, the shareholder of M2M Privet Bank Andrei Novikov, the acting head of the bank Inna Ivanova and the general director of PPFIN Region LLC Svetlana Bezrukova. Novikov was asked for 19 years in prison, Bezrukova and Ivanova for 18 years, and Shablyko for 17 years in prison. In addition to embezzlement, all six are charged with participation in an organized criminal community (OPS).
According to the plot of the case, one of the episodes concerns the embezzlement of funds of investors of the holding VMHY. Victims invested, in particular, in ATB, "ABC of Taste" and office and hotel complex "Golden Gate", hoping to receive 9-10% per annum. But investors have lost their money. Also, all but Shablyko, the investigation incriminates embezzlement of bank funds in the period from 2011 to 2016. At first, the accomplices withdrew 5.6 billion rubles from M2M Privet Bank under forged contracts. Another 4.7 billion rubles on fictitious loans were stolen from ATB.
Yakubovsky, Maslovsky and Bezruky were sentenced in 2025 for embezzling $126 from VMHY investors. Then the defendants received from five to 13.5 years of general regime. However, in December, the Moscow City Court released the defendants from punishment in connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations. In the new case, the defendants do not admit guilt.
In the article “Kommersant” Kirill Yakubovsky did not understand the accusation.
