"The criminal case was sent to the court for consideration on the merits in the absence of the accused, who is wanted," the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office reported. The case against the journalist was initiated under Part 3 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The Insider (foreign agent) was recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia on July 15, 2022. The prosecutor's office said that the editor-in-chief of the publication had already been twice brought to administrative responsibility for participation in his activities. At the same time, according to the prosecutor's office, Roman Dobrokhotov (foreign agent) continued to post materials on the Internet that "contain a negative assessment" of the events taking place in Russia. Now the journalist is arrested in absentia.
