October 9, Pskov region will be covered by a moderate magnetic storm level G2

According to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI RAS, on the morning of Friday, October 9, a plasma cloud will approach the Earth, which will provoke geomagnetic disturbances. The intensity of the storm will not exceed the moderate level of G2, and its duration will be about 10-12 hours.

Experts note that despite the activity of the Sun, it will not be possible to observe auroras during this period due to atmospheric conditions. Nevertheless, weather-sensitive residents of Pskov and the region should be careful: even moderate storms can cause headaches, pressure drops and general malaise.
