The FSB detained two Russians in the Perm region and the Belgorod region. They collected data on objects of military-industrial and fuel-energy complexes for committing terrorist attacks in the interests of the special services of Ukraine, the FSB Public Relations Center reported.
The detainees were born in 2006 and 2002, with no details given. The Russians collected information about objects in Perm and Stary Oskol, and coordinated their actions with the Ukrainian side through Telegram, the FSB says.
According to the FSB, a detainee in the Belgorod region seized an improvised explosive device. He was also allegedly repeatedly involved by the special services of Ukraine as a courier to whom the Russians, deceived by fraudulent call centers, transferred money. The Russian, operating in the Perm region, for cooperation with the Ukrainian side promised a large monetary reward and withdrawal to the territory of the European Union, added the FSB.
Criminal cases were initiated against the detainees on preparation for a terrorist attack (part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code), preparation for sabotage (part 2 of Art. 281 of the Criminal Code), illegal acquisition of explosives (part 3 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code). They were both put under arrest. The issue of initiating a case of treason is being considered (Article 275 of the Criminal Code).
