The name of the defendant in the TFR is not reported. In 2024, the position of director of the investment department of the Sochi City Hall was held by German Korelov, who resigned in May of this year. The crime was revealed during the investigation of the criminal case against the former deputy head of the Sochi administration Evgeny Gorobets, operational support is provided by the regional FSB department.
As it became known to law enforcement agencies, the director of the investment department of the Sochi administration was entrusted with the obligation to organize an all-Russian forum of municipal investment commissioners. Wanting to demonstrate successful work, the official forced an entrepreneur from Lazarevsky district to pay expenses in the amount of 3 million rubles. The head of the department told the businessman that in case of refusal, he could have problems in the implementation of the investment project.
