General Director of Patriot Park Igor Vasiliev detained

Igor Vasiliev in different years was a senator from the Republic of Komi, the head of Rosreestr and the governor of the Kirov region. In March 2026, a TASS source said that since January Vasiliev has headed the Patriot Park.

The previous general director of the Patriot Park, Vyacheslav Akhmedov, was arrested in August 2024 in a fraud case. In August 2025, he was sentenced to 5 years in prison. On October 1, 2026, Major General Sergei Nikitushkin, head of the training and material base of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Russian Armed Forces, was arrested. The department also manages the activities of the Patriot Park.
