The reason for the hard landing of the Mi-8 helicopter in Kamchatka could be a technical malfunction or violation of the rules of piloting the aircraft, the investigation believes. A criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport, resulting in negligence in causing major damage), the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the TFR reported.
An emergency happened this morning. The cargo helicopter belongs to JSC Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise. What he was transporting is still unknown. Mi-8 performed a flight along the route landing pad Izbudina — Zhupanov River. The helicopter made a hard landing and collapsed sideways near the Zhupanovo River in the Elizov district. There were three crew members on board and no one was injured. The aircraft was damaged.
