Two teenagers in Primorye were given eight years for arson on the railway
The Pacific Fleet Military Court found two 18-year-old residents of the Primorsky Territory guilty of setting fire to eight relay cabinets at the passage stations of the Amur Bay – Nadezhda and Amur Bay – Corner Far Eastern Railway. According to the materials of the case, in July last year, one of the teenagers in the course of correspondence in the messenger received an offer for a reward to commit arson.

According to the materials of the case, in July last year, one of the teenagers in the course of correspondence in the messenger received an offer for a reward to commit arson. The young man agreed and attracted his friend. Later, the teenagers recorded arson on video. “For the performance of the task, the curator transferred them more than 260 thousand rubles, cashed through virtual cryptocurrency accounts,” the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office said.
For committing a terrorist attack by a group of persons by prior agreement (paragraph "a", "in" part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and legalization of funds received as a result of committing crimes (paragraph "a" part 3 of Art. 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the defendants were sentenced to 8 years 6 months and 8 years of a general regime colony. The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
