The attack took place in a residential building on Antonov-Ovseenko Street. According to preliminary data, the ambulance team was called by a local resident. Her son locked himself in the toilet from the medics, and when the doctors started knocking on the door, he ran out and attacked them with a knife. According to the police, the young man was afraid for his mother.

According to law enforcement agencies, mother and son are registered in a psychoneurological clinic. The teenager was diagnosed with autism.
