The criminal case was initiated under Art. 230 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (“Illegal trafficking in nuclear materials or devices, or radioactive waste and radioactive substances”). This article provides for up to ten years of imprisonment. A citizen of which country tried to acquire uranium, the report does not specify.
