Telegram refuses to cooperate with the Russian police in the fight against drug propaganda, says the acting head of the Main Directorate for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Kirill Smurov. He believes that through the messenger and darknet teenagers are involved in drug crimes.

According to Mr. Smurov, the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov “takes anti-Russian positions.” “Frankly, our offer of contacts does not respond. Basically, not counting the darknet, often the communication of our "wards" goes through this network, - said the official at a meeting of the Presidium of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (quoted by TASS).

In Russia, Pavel Durov is accused of promoting terrorism: according to investigators, the messenger ignores the requirements to remove channels, chats and bots that Ukrainian special services, as well as extremist and terrorist organizations use to prepare terrorist attacks, murders and other crimes in Russia. In July, Mr. Durov was added to the register of terrorists and extremists.
