General Director of “Patriot” Igor Vasiliev will return home

The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow will consider a petition for the house arrest of the general director of the Patriot Park Igor Vasiliev, suspected of receiving bribes, the correspondent of Kommersant reports. According to media reports, Vasiliev is accused of receiving a bribe in an especially large amount (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the amount of 18 to 80 million rubles.

Earlier, on October 2, the court arrested two of his deputies - Sergey Fedosov and Alexei Pavlyukov. The first was charged with fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and the second - bribery (Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On October 3, the court sent under house arrest the alleged bribe-giver, general director and founder of Hermes LLC Evgeny Mariev. This company provided comprehensive engineering, technical and sanitary maintenance of buildings, structures, premises and adjacent territories of the Patriot Park in the Odintsovo city district of the Moscow region, as well as the branch of the Patriot Park in Kronstadt (St. Petersburg). Also, two more entrepreneurs, Vladimir Nayun and Yevgeny Zelkin, who are involved in this case, returned home by court decision.

Mr. Vasiliev, before heading the Patriot Park, was a member of the Federation Council, Governor of the Kirov region, auditor of the Accounts Chamber and headed a number of departments.
