The former head of the Borisogleb branch of the Communist party Alexander Sukhinin, accused of attempted fraud, changed the measure of restraint. Detention has been replaced by a ban on certain actions, a measure that will last until November 30. Information about this was published by RIA Voronezh, citing the results of the trials on October 27 and 28.
According to the new measure, Sukhininin has no right to leave the house from 22:00 to 6:00, participate in festive and mass cultural events, contact with victims and witnesses, as well as use communications and the Internet. Before that, he had been under arrest for 26 days. The prosecution insisted on detention, arguing this by the danger of pressure on the victims and other defendants in the case.
According to the newspaper, in the materials of the case appeared two more victims – entrepreneurs from the same city. They filed statements to the police, claiming that they were offered inclusion in the party list of the Communist party for a fee of 1.2 million rubles per person. According to their version, the proposals were made by the same group of people headed by Sukhinin.
Initially, the case was initiated at the request of one businessman. The investigation believes that Sukhininin, together with three alleged accomplices, promised him a deputy mandate for more than 5.8 million rubles. The actions of the accused are qualified under Part 3 of Art. 30 and Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - attempted fraud on an especially large scale. Sukhininin does not admit guilt for all episodes.
During the meeting, the court also refused the defendant in a petition for the removal of employees of the Borisogleb prosecutor's office. Sukhinin explained his request by the fact that he had previously publicly criticized the work of this department and therefore fears a biased attitude towards himself.
Earlier, the bureau of the Voronezh Regional Committee of the CPRF removed Sukhinin from the post of first secretary of the local branch - the wording sounded like "violations of the Charter of the CPRF and causing serious damage to the reputation of the party." This became known on October 20. The regional committee explained that he put forward an uncoordinated list of candidates for the Borisoglebsk City Duma. As a result, party candidates were not registered, and the CPRF remained without representation in the prideum.
