Emergency house on Soviet cosmonauts in Arkhangelsk continues to lean

Arkhangelsk blogger Mikhail Shishov in social networks drew attention to the state of the emergency house at the corner of the Avenue of Soviet Cosmonauts, 47 and Vucheisky Street, 39.

According to him, the house continues to tilt, the wall goes to the side, cracks disperse. Nearby there is a sidewalk on which people, children and pensioners walk.

The blogger recalled that he wrote about the house in June. Then the city administration said that the house was recognized as an emergency in 2019 by the decision of the interdepartmental commission on the basis of a technical survey. The management company is responsible for the condition of the house, which is obliged to take measures. The Department of the city has sent an order to conduct a survey and take the necessary measures for safety.

Almost four months later, according to Shishov, nothing has changed: the house is still leaning, the sidewalk is nearby, and the manager is still “taking measures” that are not visible – no fortifications, no fences, no signal tapes.

The blogger asks questions: whether there was a re-examination after June, whether there is a conclusion of specialists about the current state, what kind of supportive measures the Criminal Code took when the house will be resettled and demolished. He noted that he is not an expert, but when the house leans, it is visible and scary, and the reports of officials on the “measures taken” without real changes called imitation.
