Barnaulets gave almost half a million rubles for a non-existent parcel
A resident of Barnaul lost his savings, becoming a victim of phone scams

It all began with the fact that the phone of the victim received a call from an unknown person who introduced himself as a courier of one of the transport companies. The caller notified Barnaul that a parcel came to his name and to receive it, it is necessary to name the code from the SMS message, which the gullible citizen did. After that, the connection broke down.
After a while, the victim’s phone rang again. This time, several scammers contacted him at once, who posed as an investigator, employees of the Ministry of Information and the Finance Department of the Central Bank. In a series of telephone conversations, the attackers first misled the gullible man, and then intimidated and convinced him that he himself called the code to scammers who, having access to his personal account on the Gosulugi portal, quickly changed the password from the account and uploaded personal documents. The interlocutors also told Barnaul that unknown persons transferred funds to an unfriendly country and for this he faces criminal liability.
Further, the scammers demanded from the frightened man that he confirm the origin of all available funds by transferring to an account they indicate. So, according to the attackers, the victim would release himself from suspicion. The fake police promised to return the savings immediately after the "check" - by noon the next day.
Barnaulets without hesitation went to the nearest ATM and withdrew there 455 thousand rubles. After that, he sent the entire amount to the account indicated by the attackers.
The next day he came to visit the victim, who saw the upset man, questioned him and realized that his son had become a victim of scammers. After that, Barnaul appealed to the police.
Currently, a criminal case has been opened on this fact.
