Pregnant woman brutally killed for wanting to marry
Indian couple arrested on suspicion of killing and dismembering a pregnant 38-year-old woman who demanded her lover marry her

In India, the couple was detained on suspicion of murder and dismemberment of a pregnant 38-year-old woman who demanded her lover marry her. According to investigators, the man decided to deal with her after she refused to terminate the pregnancy. This was reported on October 10 by the Times of India.
Some of the remains of Hayatun Nishi were found on August 5 in a suitcase left on a train. Inside were a headless skeleton and other body parts.
After examining the CCTV footage, the police tracked down Manik Uddin Laskar and his wife Bhagawati Maji. In their home, where the murder allegedly took place, investigators found other remains of the deceased in a large pan.
According to Indian media, Nisha was in a relationship with Laskar for about six months. After the woman became pregnant, she refused an abortion and insisted on the wedding. The investigation believes that this led to conflicts, after which the man killed her and then dismembered the body.
His wife, according to law enforcement officers, was also involved in the crime.
