More than 6 million rubles lost man, wanting to declare them
As a result of the unlawful actions, the applicant handed over 2.9 million rubles in cash to the courier.

A resident of the Soviet district of Omsk, 78-year-old citizen, appealed to the police with a statement about the theft of a large amount of money. According to the victim, he became a victim of intruders, who, under the pretext of protecting his savings, lured more than 6 million rubles from him.
The scam started with a phone call. Unknown, who introduced herself as an employee of the organization where the pensioner previously worked, reported about the allegedly hacked database and the risk of compromising personal information, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Saratov region reports. The man was then asked to contact an unidentified person posing as a Central Bank representative to allegedly resolve the problem.
In the process of further communication with scammers, the pensioner persistently instilled information about the compromise of his bank account and the possible use of his money to finance illegal activities. Under the guise of conducting the procedure of “declaring” funds, the victim was inclined to withdraw all available savings.
As a result of illegal actions, the applicant handed over 2 million 900 thousand rubles in cash to the courier, and also independently transferred about 3.5 million rubles through an ATM. After all his savings were stolen, the fraudsters offered him to issue a loan secured by real estate.
Thanks to the timely intervention of his son, who suspected fraud, the pensioner avoided further losses and appealed to law enforcement agencies. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
