The former head of Kirzhach and her deputy were in custody for fraud

Vladimir investigators transferred to court the case of a large land scam in Kirzhach. In the dock were the former head of the city administration, her deputy and three other local residents. They are accused of fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale.

According to the investigation, the scheme worked in 2016. One of the ex-employees of the city hall remained old empty forms of land certificates, which were used in the nineties. These papers became the basis of the scam. Inserting false data into them, the defendants registered plots in the prestigious Red October microdistrict on fake persons. In total, they looked at eight prospective allotments. Then carried out cadastral work, received addresses and registered ownership. After that, the land was resold to ordinary buyers, and the money was divided.

As a result, the city lost more than 5.6 million rubles. The case was opened after inspections of the prosecutor's office and the regional FSB. The former head of the city was detained and sent into custody, she denies her guilt. The rest of the defendants pleaded guilty and have already returned part of the damage - two million rubles. A pre-trial cooperation agreement was concluded with one of the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
