Former employee of the FSIN in Kuban was convicted for communication with a prisoner

In Absheronsk, a former employee of the correctional institution was sentenced to three years in prison for exceeding official powers. After the verdict, the man was taken into custody in the courtroom.

According to the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Prosecutor’s Office, in April 2025, a 38-year-old local resident who held a position in a correctional institution entered into a relationship with one of the convicts that is not related to his official duties. In order to facilitate the regime of stay of the prisoner, the former employee instructed subordinates to transfer to him objects and things prohibited on the territory of the institution. They were previously seized by employees of GUFSIN of Russia during operational activities.

The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and found the man guilty of exceeding official powers. He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with serving a sentence in a general regime colony. In addition, for three years he was banned from holding positions related to the exercise of the functions of a representative of power, organizational, administrative and administrative-economic powers in the civil service and in the bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

Recall that in the Krasnodar Territory for eight months initiated 158 cases of crimes in the field of national projects.
