Four people died in a mass accident in the Civil district of Chuvashia

In the Civil municipal district of Chuvashia there was a fatal road accident involving three cars, which killed four people. The accident occurred on Monday, the 12th km of the A-151 Tsivilsk-Ulyanovsk highway near the village of Novoe Syurbeevo.

According to preliminary data, the 40-year-old driver of the Audi A6 car at high speed went to the oncoming lane for overtaking in a prohibited place. Returning to his lane, he made a tangential collision with the associated SUV Kia Sportage, which from the impact flew into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the car VAZ-21099.

From a strong blow, the domestic car rolled over several times and overturned to the side of the road. Four young passengers of VAZ (born in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010) from the village of Churachik, returning from their studies from Civilsk, were killed at the scene. Injuries of varying severity were received by the driver (1964) and passenger (1965) of the Kia car.

Drivers of foreign cars passed a medical examination, the result on the state of intoxication was negative. At the scene, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and the investigative and operational group work, the necessary procedural actions are carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
