Dagestani woman will be tried for fraud with child benefits for 1.8 million

The Untsukul district court will consider a criminal case against a local resident accused of embezzling child benefits for 1.8 million rubles, the press service of the Dagestan prosecutor's office said.

The investigation found that in 2022, the accused applied to the Social Fund for Dagestan for a monthly allowance for four children. She actually lived with children outside Russia, therefore, had no grounds for social payments, the accused provided the Social Fund with false information about living in the republic.

As a result, she received payments in the amount of more than 1.8 million rubles. The criminal case has been sent to court.
