The girl lost her savings, believing calls from “law enforcement officers”

A resident of Krasnooktyabrsky district of Volgograd became another victim of telephone fraudsters, who lost more than 2.4 million rubles. The girl appealed to the police department, reporting the theft of a large sum.
As follows from the materials of the case, during the week the victim received calls from unknown persons who posed as law enforcement officers. Under pressure from the callers, the girl agreed to transfer her savings to a “safe account” and transferred a total of more than 2.4 million rubles to the details dictated to her through the mobile applications of banks.
When all the instructions were fulfilled, communication with the fraudsters was cut off. Realizing that she was a victim of fraud, Volgograd appealed to the police.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud on an especially large scale. Police officers are currently conducting a complex of operational-search measures aimed at establishing the identities of the attackers.
