Road work in the Russian region ended in tragedy

In the Leningrad region, two workers were covered with sand, one in a trench on the ring road, one of them died. This was reported in the press service of the GU EMERCOM of Russia in the region.

According to the agency, on the evening of October 10, an accident occurred during road works at the 31st kilometer of the Ring Highway in the Vsevolozhsky district.

In the trench there was a collapse of the soil, as a result of which two workers were covered with sand.

One of the men died on the spot. The second worker was removed from the rubble before the arrival of emergency services.

The victim was handed over to the specialists of the Lenoblpozhspas GKU and the emergency rescue group, after which they were taken to a medical institution. There is no information about his current health.
