Associate professor of agrarian university caught on bribes: the teacher took 70 rubles for the exam
The teacher of one of the leading agricultural universities of Belarus was detained for receiving bribes from students.

The prosecutor’s office of the Goretsky district in court supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 45-year-old local resident who is charged with receiving a bribe. According to the materials of the case, the accused held the position of associate professor at the department of one of the agricultural universities of the country. By virtue of his official duties, he took tests and examinations from students. This is reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of the Mogilev region.
In May 2026, the teacher organized a simplified exam for two correspondence students in the subject he taught. For positive assessments, he demanded 70 rubles from each student.
On the day of the exam, the girls handed over their credit books with money invested in them for a total of 140 rubles, while in fact they did not pass the exam. The teacher accepted money, using his official position, acting in the interests of bribe-givers.
Trial proceedings
At the court hearing, the teacher fully admitted his guilt and sincerely repented of what he had done.
Taking into account the evidence presented by the public prosecutor, the Goretsky District Court issued a conviction.
The accused under Article 430 of the Criminal Code of Belarus was sentenced. He will be restricted in liberty for 2 years and 6 months and will be held in an open correctional facility. He will also have to pay a fine of 300 base units, which is 13.5 thousand rubles.
In addition, he is prohibited from holding positions related to teaching and performing legally significant actions for a period of 5 years.
The sentence has not entered into force and can be appealed or appealed on appeal.
