Two months jail received the accused of beating in Kireevsk

The court detained the accused of causing serious harm to health, resulting in death. He faces up to 15 years; the incident occurred during an argument while drinking alcohol.

The Kireevsky district court of the Tula region granted the petition of the investigator and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months to the man accused under part 4 of article 111 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation (causing serious harm to health, resulting in negligence death). The decree of September 14, 2026 entered into force on September 18. According to investigators, on the night of 11 to 12 September, the accused Z. and his friend drank alcohol. During the argument, the man inflicted four blows on the woman’s face and head.

He did not foresee death, but the injuries were fatal. Taking into account the seriousness of the crime (up to 15 years of imprisonment) and the data on the identity of the accused, the court applied a strict preventive measure.
