Two adults and a child were injured in a mass accident on the highway “Kola”

Police are conducting a check on the fact of an accident involving 4 cars. It happened about five o'clock in the evening on October 9 at the 83rd kilometer of the highway "Kola" in the Kirov district, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad region reported.

The driver born in 1969 on the truck "Scania" with a semi-trailer was moving towards Murmansk. Not keeping his distance, he crashed into the Lada Granta in front of him. That, in turn, moving by inertia, collided with the Citroen C5 car going in front, and that, in turn, with the Audi A6.

As a result of the accident, a woman driver of Lada and her passenger – a boy born in 2018 – were injured. They suffered a head injury and petrol poisoning. An Audi passenger born in 1955 was also injured. She also has a head injury.

All the victims were hospitalized. Their condition is assessed as medium severity.
