Doctors of Yekaterinburg saved the sight of two-year-old Sasha from Biserti, who fell an eye on a long screw during the repair of the house. This is reported by the media.
The incident took place in Biserty. The child ran into a fastener that went deep into his eye socket. The mother immediately took her son to the district hospital, where an X-ray showed that the screw had passed into the maxillary sinus.
The baby was urgently taken to the Children's City Clinical Hospital of Yekaterinburg. There, a team of surgeons from several departments performed an operation and recovered the object.
According to the maxillofacial surgeon, the screw entered the eye socket at such an angle that by a happy coincidence did not damage the vital structures.
As a result, doctors managed to save the child’s eyes and vision.
