Novosibirsk regional court left without change the sentence of the former head of the city Department of transport Konstantin Vasiliev

The case is connected with a subsidy in the amount of 48 million rubles, which was allocated to the municipal enterprise “Metro Mir” for the development of a project of a road along Dovator Street to the Plyuchykhinsky housing estate.
The court found that Vasiliev knew that the project documentation had not been developed, but agreed on a report stating that the work had been completed in full. The money was not returned to the city budget in due time.
The former official was appointed 1 year 6 months of a general regime colony and for the same period was prohibited from holding certain positions in local self-government bodies. At the same time, the term of imprisonment was recognized as already served, taking into account the time spent in custody, house arrest and under the prohibition of certain actions.
On another charge - in malicious non-execution of court decisions - Vasiliev was acquitted due to the lack of corpus delicti. In this part, he was recognized the right to rehabilitation.
