Ex-Minister of GO and Emergencies of Kuban sentenced to 6.5 years for abuse of authority
Pervomaysky District Court of Krasnodar on November 6 sentenced the former Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Krasnodar Territory Sergey Shtrikov

On November 6, the Pervomaysky District Court of Krasnodar sentenced the former Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Krasnodar Territory Sergey Shtrikov. He was found guilty of exceeding official powers under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As established by the court, in July 2024, while serving as Minister of Civil Society and Emergency Situations, Shtrikov ordered to prepare fictitious documents on alleged violations during an already held auction for the supply and installation of a prefabricated modular building of a fire depot. The purpose of these actions was to cancel the bidding results.
After the second auction, the winner was an organization whose interests, according to the investigation, were lobbied by Shtrikov himself. At the same time, the ex-minister expected to receive a reward for assistance - about 20 million rubles.
The illegal actions of the official caused serious damage to the company, which won the first auction: its property losses amounted to 14,021,199 rubles. In court, the former minister pleaded not guilty.
The court sentenced Shtrikov to 6.5 years in prison in a general regime correctional colony. In addition, he is prohibited for 3 years to hold positions in the civil service. Also, the ex-official was deprived of the special title of “major police”. In favor of the injured organization from the convicted recovered the full amount of damage.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force, the United Press Service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
