In the Beloyarsk district of the Sverdlovsk region, a truck killed a man who repaired a car on the roadside.

The road accident occurred on October 7 at about 09:00 on the 35th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen highway.

According to the traffic police of the region, the 47-year-old driver of the MAN truck, moving from Tyumen to Yekaterinburg in the area of road works, did not calculate the dimensions. In the place where the narrowing of the carriageway is organized, he could not withstand a safe lateral interval and allowed a touch collision on a Volvo truck standing on the side of the road.

As a result of the strike, the truck also ran over a 49-year-old man, a resident of the Republic of Dagestan, who was near his car and fixing the malfunction. From his injuries, the victim died on the spot before the arrival of the ambulance crew.

A 47-year-old resident of the Republic of Mari El was driving the MAN truck. He explained to the inspectors that he was distracted during the movement and noticed the person only at the time of the collision.
