Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin took personal control of the investigation of the criminal case of a fatal accident in the Vaninsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory. This is reported in the official telegram channel of the Ministry.

The accident occurred on October 4 at about 17:40 on the 29th kilometer of the highway “Soviet Harbor – Vanino”. The 17-year-old driver of the Honda CH-R, who does not have the right to drive, collided with a Toyota FunCargo turning to the left when overtaking.

As a result of the impact, the teenager's car was thrown at two 12-year-old boys who were walking with bicycles on the side of the road.

As a result of the injuries, one child died at the scene, the second was hospitalized in a medical facility in a condition close to satisfactory.

On this fact, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Khabarovsk Territory and the EAO opened a criminal case.

The head of the department instructed the head of the regional IC of Russia to submit a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances.

In relation to the mother of a teenager, administrative materials were drawn up for failure to fulfill the duties of raising a child, since the car keys were freely available, and the young man himself had previously been involved in driving without rights.
