State traffic inspection summed up the weekend on the roads of the Smolensk region

Over the weekend, October 10 and 11, 2026, two traffic accidents were registered in the Smolensk region, in which two people were injured.

Chronicle of accidents (October 10):

Route R-120 (382nd km): At about 21:00, the 60-year-old driver of the Skoda Octavia car hit a 28-year-old pedestrian who was standing on the side of the road. The victim with injuries was taken to the hospital.

Smolensk (Akademika Petrova St., 3): At around 21:26, a 22-year-old girl driving an OPEL Corsa hit a 21-year-old girl crossing an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian was also hospitalized.

Statistics of violations: In total, during this period, traffic police officers identified 137 administrative offenses.

Arrested 6 drivers driving in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

3 motorists did not provide a driving advantage to pedestrians.

DPS inspectors urge drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and take into account weather conditions.
