Robbery of 6 thousand rubles can turn a resident of the Leningrad region in 7 years behind bars

In Kudrovo, police detained a criminal suspected of robbery. He could face up to seven years in prison.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, on October 8, a resident of the Vsevolozhsky district, a 35-year-old man, appealed to the police. He claimed to have stolen his personal belongings. The victim reported that on September 30, an unknown man pushed him during the conflict, after which he stole a mobile phone and headphones. The amount of damage amounted to 6050 rubles.

Law enforcement officers detained a suspect in the crime. On the eighth of October, they detained a 38-year-old man who may be involved in illegal actions.

The stolen property was found and returned to the owner. On this fact, a criminal case was opened under the article “robbery”. Note that “paragraph d” of part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is robbery with the use of violence (or the threat of its use). This crime is qualified not as secret theft (theft), but as open possession of property with physical influence. That is why the case is being investigated under a more serious article: for such a crime, he faces up to 7 years in prison.
