The Israeli police and the Office of Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Health have identified cases of the sale and distribution of narcotic substances under the guise of a product known as “drops of kata” (уיуוу מу).
Laboratory studies of seized products have shown that they contain a dangerous synthetic drug methamphetamine, which has a high potential for addiction. Its use can pose a threat to life.
The sale of a dangerous drug under the guise of an allegedly natural product is a particularly serious violation, exposing the population to significant health risks. Consumers are often unaware that they are using a dangerous drug.
In addition, extracts and preparations containing substances derived from the kata plant, including drops, drinks and capsules, are subject to the Dangerous Narcotics Act. Their use, production and distribution are prohibited by law.
The Ministry of Health and the Israel Police are urging the public to refrain from purchasing and consuming products sold as products based on the gat plant, including those called drops of gat.
If there are suspicions about the sale or distribution of such products, citizens are asked to report this to law enforcement agencies.
