Regional Sledkom completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 16-year-old resident of Kotlas.
According to investigators, on August 31 in Kotlas, the accused found a bank card lost along with a phone by a 44-year-old local resident on the street. With the help of the card, the teenager contactlessly paid for shopping and entertainment in shopping centers.
During the interrogation, the minor admitted guilt, repented and voluntarily compensated for the damage caused.
The investigation has gathered sufficient evidence. The criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
The investigation department recalled that for the secret theft of other people’s property from the bank account of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for a punishment of up to six years in prison.
