The batches of imported tulip bulbs did not pass the quarantine phytosanitary control, which was conducted by inspectors of the North-Western Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor in the Pskov region on October 7. This “MK in Pskov” reported in the press service of the Ministry.

Experts studied 110,400 bulbs grown in Poland and found signs of infection. The conclusion of laboratory examinations confirmed the presence of western flower thrips.

Import of tulip bulbs to the territory of Russia is prohibited.
