Patients are being evacuated from a large cardiology center in Istanbul due to a fire on the roof of an additional hospital building. The fire occurred at Koshuyolu Hospital in the Kartal district, CNN Turk reported.
Fire crews have arrived. Specialists continue to extinguish the fire and try to prevent its spread to the lower floors and main buildings of the medical institution.
According to CNN Turk editor Arif Baigut, thick smoke rose over the hospital, which spread to the surrounding area. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Koshuyolu Hospital is located in the Asian part of Istanbul and receives patients from all over Turkey. According to Milliyet, the fire is located on the roof of the additional building of the clinic.
