A major blackout occurred in the Angara region.

The accident on the networks caused a power outage in 11 settlements of the Taishet district of the Irkutsk region. This was reported in the regional chapter of the EMERCOM of Russia.

Under the shutdown were 1,326 private residential buildings with heating. 3,323 people and 12 socially significant objects remain without light.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established.

The restoration work is carried out by the Irkutsk Electric Grid Company. Among the disabled settlements are Giogino, Tremino, Novotremino, Churchet and others.
