The Kuryan paid for the threat of a gun to the driver of the garbage truck

In the Kursk region, a magistrate of Zheleznogorsk convicted a local resident who staged an armed showdown on the road because of traffic rules. The case occurred at the end of winter, but the legal point in the case was put only now.

As follows from the materials of the case, in the afternoon of February 28, 2026, on L. Golenkov Street in Zheleznogorsk, the owner of a foreign car had a road conflict with the driver of special vehicles. The man at the wheel of the garbage truck refused to miss the car, which was driven by the defendant.

“During the quarrel, the chicken came close to the opponent, shouted a threat of murder at him, and then took a gun out of his pocket and pointed a weapon at the driver of special vehicles,” the press service of the courts of the Kursk region said.

During the trial, the defendant categorically denied his guilt. However, the court considered the evidence gathered to be sufficient to reach an indictment.

When imposing punishment, the magistrate took into account that the defendant voluntarily compensated the victim for moral damage. As a result, the offender received 8 months of imprisonment.

The sentence has not entered into force and can be appealed.
