Kuryanin lost the court because of the crooked ceiling in the garage

In March 2025, a resident of the Kursk region verbally agreed with a self-employed master to install a suspended ceiling in the garage for 84 thousand rubles. After the repair, the customer said that the ceiling interferes with the gate, touches the lamps, and the sheets are laid unevenly. He demanded to return the money, but the master refused, citing the fact that part of the problems associated with the material of the customer.

The court ordered an examination. She found installation violations: ledges between the sheets reached 8 mm at a rate of 2 mm, some elements were attached without support for the frame, old metal was used. But with the gate came out differently: after installing the ceiling, the space above the opening decreased, so the canvas touched the design. For correct work, special rollers and guides were required. Experts also noted that the use of old material and mounting in old holes were agreed with the customer.

As a result, the Industrial District Court of Kursk refused to terminate the contract and recover money, a penalty, a fine and compensation for moral damage. The decision has not entered into legal force.
