A logger from the Shegarsky district was ordered to compensate for damage to the animal world

The Tomsk Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office conducted an inspection of the fulfillment by loggers of the obligation to compensate for damage caused to the environment.

It turned out that as a result of continuous felling of forest plantations on a leased plot in the Shegarsky district of the Tomsk region, the habitat of animals was destroyed. The area of the affected area is slightly less than 100 hectares.

Experts estimated the damage to the animal world at 238 thousand rubles. To recover this amount from the logging organization, the environmental prosecutor's office appealed to the court. The court granted the claim.
