False employees of state bodies deceived a pensioner from Tula for 840 thousand rubles

In Tula, a criminal case on fraud against an 82-year-old local resident was sent to the court. According to investigators, the accused helped other participants in the criminal scheme to take money from the pensioner. The amount of damage amounted to 840 thousand rubles.

As established by the Prosecutor’s office of Zarechensky district, the events occurred from June 25 to July 9, 2026. The accused, acting in collusion with others, participated in the theft of an elderly woman's savings.

Participants in the scheme presented themselves as government employees and used fictitious pretexts to convince the pensioner to hand over the money to them. The accused acted as a courier: according to the materials of the case, she twice received cash from the victim.

In addition, under the influence of the instructions of fraudsters, the 82-year-old woman transferred money to bank details that the attackers told her.

As a result of these actions, the pensioner suffered material damage in the amount of 840 thousand rubles.

The prosecutor's office of Zarechensky district sent the criminal case to the court for consideration on the merits. The decision on the guilt of the accused will be taken by the court.
