Mother on trial for systematic beating of six and eight-year-old daughters

On Sakhalin, a 39-year-old local woman accused of systematic abuse of two young daughters of six and eight years old will appear in court. This was reported in the regional Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, from March 2024 to April 2025, the woman regularly used physical force against one of the girls as punishment. Investigators recorded at least 27 episodes of beatings and at least 12 cases of other violent acts against the child.

One of the most serious episodes occurred in January 2026. According to the investigation, during the beating on the landing, the mother grabbed her daughter by the T-shirt. The girl escaped, lost her balance and fell down the stairs of the second floor, hitting her head. The resulting injuries are classified as serious harm to health.

The second daughter of the accused, according to the materials of the case, was subjected to beatings and other violent acts from March 2024 to January 2025, causing her moderate health damage. The woman was charged under articles on torture of a minor, causing harm to health and causing serious harm through negligence. The case with the approved indictment has already been transferred to the court.
