The mother tried to deprive his son of his life 70% vinegar

In the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg, a criminal case was opened against a local resident suspected of attempting to murder her own young son. According to the investigation, the woman, being with a child born in 2014 in the area near the Duderhof lake, intentionally used against him concentrated acetic acid.

According to the materials of the case, the defendant forcibly poured a minor into the mouth of a pre-purchased bottle of 70 percent vinegar, realizing the danger of exposure to this substance on the child’s body, the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg reports.

Continuing the criminal intent aimed at taking the life of her son, she doused his face with the same composition, after which she immersed the child in water and, without helping him, fled the scene. The boy managed to get out of the water on his own.

The next day, the woman was charged under part 3 of article 30 and paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation. During the proceedings, the accused pleaded guilty partially and did not object to the election of a preventive measure.

Krasnoselsky district court of St. Petersburg granted the petition of the investigation and decided to take the defendant into custody. The term of detention is set until December 8, 2026.
