Minchanin received 14 years for transporting almost a kilogram of psychotropics across the border

The Prosecutor’s office of the Klimovichi district supported in court the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 46-year-old resident of Minsk. The man was found guilty of illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of especially dangerous psychotropic substances on a large scale as part of an organized group, as well as their illegal movement across the state border of Belarus, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

It is established that in February 2026 the accused saw TikTok offer to work as a courier. He submitted an application and was soon contacted by two curators on Telegram. One conducted training, the second sent photos of hiding places with coordinates. The man entered the coordinates in the cards and drove to the target in a personal car.

During his criminal activity, he twice transported psychotropics across Belarus. The third time, when he moved a particularly dangerous psychotropic - 499 bundles with a total weight of at least 972.06 g - across the border from a neighboring state, he was detained by law enforcement officers. In total, the defendant managed to earn $ 600.

In court, the accused fully admitted guilt and sincerely repented. Taking into account the evidence, the Klimovichi district court issued a guilty verdict. On the basis of Part 4 of Art. 328 and Part 3 of Art. 328-1 of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment with a fine of 150 basic units (more than 6.7 thousand rubles).

In accordance with Part 1 of Art. 46-1 of the Criminal Code, the court applied a special confiscation of mobile phones and cars used in the commission of the crime. The sentence has not entered into force and can be appealed.
