Minchanka lost more than 12 thousand BYN after communicating with a dating site

A resident of the capital became a victim of an Internet fraudster and lost more than 12 thousand BYN, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Telegram channel “Minsk Police”.

It all started with the usual communication on a dating site. A 41-year-old woman began correspondence with a man who told about his passion for cryptocurrency and invited the interlocutor to also try herself in investments.

Minchanka agreed, after which a new acquaintance introduced her to a specialist who allegedly helps beginners for free. He “supervised” the woman: following the instructions, she began to transfer money to a crypto wallet, which she considered her own.

The woman became suspicious when she realized that the curator was constantly demanding an increase in the amount of the transfer. When she refused to deposit the money, the assistant and his friend suddenly stopped communicating and deleted the correspondence.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
