A man stabbed a friend in the Russian region

In Sakhalin Tomari, a 43-year-old local resident was detained on charges of killing a 51-year-old acquaintance. The criminal case is being investigated by the Uglegorsk Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Regional Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the press service of the department reported.

According to investigators, the tragedy occurred on the night of October 2 in the apartment of the house on Lomonosov Street. Between men there was a conflict on the basis of personal hostility, which turned into a quarrel.

Investigators believe that during the clarification of the relationship, the accused grabbed a knife and inflicted at least five blows on the chest and shoulder. The injuries were fatal. The man died on the spot after a short time.

The court granted the request of the investigation and sent the accused into custody. The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers collect evidence and conduct forensic examinations assigned to the case.
