As it was established in court, a woman born in 1986 and her son born in 2004 came to one of the city hypermarkets for car oil and meat. However, they did not have enough money to pay for their purchases, so they decided to use a marking change.
On a can of car oil worth 1,499 rubles 99 kopecks mother and son glued a sticker with a QR code from mineral water for 39 rubles 99 kopecks. Thus, when scanning, the product was displayed in the system as cheaper.
They did the same with beef worth 1,692 rubles 58 kopecks. On the packaging of meat glued a QR code from vanillin, the price of which was only 6 rubles 54 kopecks.
As a result of the substitution of codes, buyers paid for goods at a significantly lower cost. The amount of theft indicated in the case materials amounted to 3,152 rubles 58 kopecks.
The fraud was discovered by security officers of the hypermarket. When checking cash receipts and CCTV records, they noticed inconsistencies. The video showed the mother and son gluing stickers before paying for goods.
The court found both guilty and imposed a fine of 20 thousand rubles.
