In the Kuban for 8 years sentenced a man to death beaten drinking partner

In the village of Novopokrovskaya, a local resident received a harsh sentence for beating a friend to death during a quarrel.

The crime occurred on July 15 this year. According to investigators, the men together drank in the house of the victim, and at some point between them broke out verbal conflict. The skirmish quickly turned into a brutal beating: the 37-year-old defendant inflicted at least five punches on the head and at least ten on the torso, according to the materials of the criminal case.

After the fight, the accused went to his home, and the victim did not call an ambulance. Severe injuries made themselves felt: the man had extensive bruises on his chest, bilateral rib fractures occurred - all this led to traumatic shock and caused death.

In the courtroom, the defendant fully admitted guilt and said that he sincerely repented of what he had done. Taking into account the position of the prosecutor and the previously unserved sentence, the man was sentenced to 8 years in prison. He will serve time in a correctional colony of strict regime, the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
