In the Kuban, convicted of a false tour operator who deceived tourists by almost 10 million rubles

The Krasnodar regional court confirmed the verdict in a high-profile case of fraud in the tourism sector. We are talking about 24 episodes of deception in which a resident of Anapa is found guilty.

The court found that from November 2019 to August 2023, the woman posed as the manager of well-known tour operators and accepted money from customers for travel. For persuasiveness, she gave people fictitious receipts and contracts - so she managed to hide the truth. At the same time, the tours were not booked, and the woman spent the received funds at her discretion, according to the materials of the criminal case. As a result, the damage caused to the victim amounted to more than 9.7 million rubles.

It is known that the defendant in the case already had a criminal record for similar crimes. In court, she pleaded guilty and partially compensated the damage. The Anapa city court sentenced her to 6 years in prison in a general regime colony, and also ordered to pay 8.769 million rubles in damages.

The appellate instance of the Krasnodar regional court considered the complaint and found no grounds for mitigating the sentence. The decision was left unchanged and entered into legal force, the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
